The DOPE Brands campaign was one of my first campaigns at the magazine. We wanted to portray the idea that DOPE Brands has something for everyone , while bringing it into a modern world that speaks to new consumers as well as, lifelong consumers.
Through inspiration of the Brady Bunch, I brought in the idea that each consumer has their own need for this product and each one comes from a different background. By utilizing color to help portray that message we end up with a “mood board” of variety and color.
The end result ended up seeing a surge in product sales for all of our DOPE Brands.
I’ve had the opportunity to work with Coastwest Unrest for a few years now and it’s been an incredible relationship. I started out designing their tour posters and merch. But when they approached me and asked if I would be interested in designing their upcoming album, I jumped at the opportunity.
The Crazed Ones is Coastwest Unrest’s fifth studio album and they wanted something different that reflected the theme of the music. Being influenced by all the crazed literary and artistic pioneers in this album, it only made sense to pay homage to each one.
The direction of this was to keep strip everything down and present it in a raw and unfiltered way. We didn’t want to get distracted by colorful gradients or abstract backgrounds. We wanted to portray the basic features of the music and who inspired it. In the end, we felt we created exactly that and couldn’t be more proud!
Woodland Empire is a brewery based out of Boise, Idaho, specializing in crafting high-quality beers using local Idaho ingredients.
When the owners first moved to Idaho, they reached out to me because they were fans of my illustration work and wanted to collaborate on a couple can designs. Upon opening, I designed three labels for them to use which can be found in stores across Idaho and parts of Washington and Oregon.
